Confirm your verve card reservation through Mid-America Bank and Trust Company’s MasterCard application at www.yourvervecard.com. Your reservation number and your Social Security number are required if you have been given a reservation number previously. If you want to apply for a verve card and have no reservation, click the button entitled “No Reservation”.
You can also apply for a credit card by calling 1-866-513-4598 or return the acceptance certificate that you received in the mail as a preselected offer. Mid-America bank is able to offer a variety of services to customers when other financial institutions cannot accommodate them. In order to apply for a credit card you will need to provide some personal information.
Information required to apply include:
- Full name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Physical address
- Estimated gross monthly income
Your personal information is required for two different reasons. The first reason is that federal law requires Mid-America bank to verify and record information that will identify each individual who opens a new account. So for this reason, personal information is required. The second reason is because your credit bureau data must be pulled, which in turn is used with other information such as one’s monthly earnings in order to process the application fully.
In most cases applications at yourvervecard.com will be approved or denied instantly. However, there will be cases where additional information or data will need to be collected in order to make a decision, when this happens it could take up to 30 days to make a decision on the application. If you are approved for an account, you will receive your credit card by mail typically within three business days.
With an approved account you will be given a limit of $500. Some cases will require a deposit for security purposes to qualify for a credit card. Once you have received your credit card in the mail, you will need to activated over the phone, the card cannot currently be activated online. Make sure to activate your card within 30 days or your account will automatically be closed.
If you choose to enroll in the online banking service provided, you will be able to manage your credit card account online. Services provided include the following:
- Pay your credit card bill
- Enroll to receive online statements
- View transaction history
- Look over previous statements
- View payment history
- Find your balance
The online account management system is a free service that is provided for you. Your statement will arrive in paper form through the mail, however you can choose to change your statement delivery method to receive online statements only.
Benefits are available, and you can request to qualify for those benefits. Benefits can cover you in the event of job loss or disability allowing the credit protection program to cover up to 12 months of continuous monthly payments, or one month of your minimum required payment for hospitalization and the full balance of the card account will be canceled out in the event of death. To apply for these benefits and have them activated you will need to call the benefit administrator at 1-866-665-7967.
